dedins, defòra, endacòm, enlòc
Inside, Outside, Somewhere, Nowhere
Dedins is inside, defòra is outside, endacòm is somewhere, and pas enlòc is not anywhere.
How It Works
| Word | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| dedins | inside | Dedins fa caud. |
| defòra | outside | Defòra fa fred. |
| endacòm | somewhere | Vau endacòm. |
| enlòc | nowhere, not anywhere | Vau pas enlòc. |
With a noun, use the preposition dins: dins l'ostal. Without a noun, use dedins. For here inside, use aicí dedins.
Endacòm mai means somewhere else. Enlòc usually comes with pas when a verb is present.
Defòra also goes with verbs of movement: anar defòra, to go outside. With lo in front, dedins and defòra become nouns: lo dedins, the inside, and lo defòra, the outside.
