त्यसो भए

Saying in That Case

Level 3Sounds Like tyasō bha'ē

त्यसो भए means then or in that case, after something just said.

How It Works

त्यसो भए literally means if that is so. In conversation it works like in that case or then.

The pattern has two parts: first someone gives a fact, and then त्यसो भए leads to what you do about it.

FactReply with त्यसो भए
म आज आउन सक्दिनँ।त्यसो भए भोलि आउनुहोस्।
बस आएन।त्यसो भए हामी टेम्पोमा जाऔँ।

The reply is often a suggestion or a plan, so it is common with commands and with हामी + -औँ (let us).

You can also use it inside your own speech to connect two thoughts: तिमी थाकेका छौ, त्यसो भए आराम गर।

Write it as two words. Do not use it without the earlier fact in mind, or it sounds odd. A related form, तब, can also mean then, but it often points to time instead.
