अनि / त्यसपछि
Then and After That
अनि is and then, and त्यसपछि is after that. Use them to put steps in order.
How It Works
अनि and त्यसपछि put two actions in order. म चिया पिउँछु, अनि काम गर्छु means I drink tea and then I work.
अनि is the everyday word. It means and then and is common in speech. In a story, it can also move the talk forward: अनि के भयो? (and then what happened?).
त्यसपछि means after that, and it works well when you list steps: बिहान म नुहाउँछु, त्यसपछि खाना खान्छु (in the morning I wash, and after that I eat).
Write त्यसपछि as one word. Each step keeps its own verb ending, and the steps are usually in the same tense. Usually place a comma before अनि or त्यसपछि.
For plain and between two nouns, use र. अनि mostly joins steps in time. Speech can also use it between two things, but र is the safe choice for a list.
