-इदिनु means do something for someone else.

How It Works

दिनु means give. As a helper it shows the action is done for someone: गरिदिनु (do for), पकाइदिनु (cook for).

It is very common in requests: कृपया ढोका खोलिदिनुहोस् (please open the door for me). With तिमी the command is खोलिदेऊ.

The person who gains takes लाई, and it is often left out when it is clear: आमाले मलाई खाना पकाइदिनुभयो.

The linker -इ joins the stem and दिनु in one word. Do not put a space in the form.

Write the whole form as one word: गरिदिन्छु.

    गरिदिन्छु means do for you.

    Mother cooked food for me.

    The polite ending is दिनुभयो.

    The polite command is खोलिदिनुहोस्.

  4. साथीहरूले मलाई टिकट किनिदिए।

    My friends bought me the ticket.

    The doers are several, so the verb is plural.

  5. यो चिठी पढिदेऊ।

    Read this letter for me.

    देऊ is the command for तिमी.
