Like This and Like That

Level 3Sounds Like ēhana ā ōhana

एहन means "like this" and ओहन means "like that".

How It Works

These words work as describing words. They come before the noun and never change.

WordMeaning
एहनthis kind of, such
ओहनthat kind of
केहनwhat kind of?
जेहन ... तेहनthe kind that ... that kind

Examples: एहन मौसम हमरा नीक लगैत अछि (I like this kind of weather). ओहन आम कतय भेटत? (Where can we find mangoes like that?).

Add -ए to stress them: एहने (just like this), ओहने (just like that).

For how something is done, use एना (in this way) and ओना (in that way). Use एहन and ओहन for what kind of thing it is.
