ајде да
Let's
To say let's, use ајде да with a we verb: Ајде да одиме! (Let's go!) · Ајде да јадеме. (Let's eat.)
How It Works
Ајде is a very common spoken word for encouraging someone. With да and a we verb, it suggests doing something together:
- Ајде да одиме. — Let's go.
- Ајде да се видиме утре. — Let's meet tomorrow.
- Ајде да го пробаме. — Let's try it.
The verb after да is in the present tense with the we ending -ме, just like any verb after да (see сака да + сегашно време). Short pronouns go between да and the verb, as in да го пробаме.
Ајде or ајдете? Ајде works with anyone. When you speak to a group, you can say ајдете: Ајдете да јадеме!
Ајде on its own means come on or hurry up, and it can come before a command: Ајде, доцниме! (Come on, we're late!) · Ајде, стани! (Come on, get up!) People also use it to say goodbye: Ајде, чао!
Register: ајде belongs to everyday speech. In a formal note, да with a we verb alone can make the same suggestion: Да почнеме. (Let's begin.)
For telling you to do something, see заповеден начин: читај; носи; пиј. For let him or let them, see нека + сегашно време.

Adding ќе after да.
