სხვა
Other
სხვა means other, another or else.
How It Works
სხვა (skhva) has one form before a noun. It ends in -ა, so it does not change when the noun takes an ending:
| Georgian | English |
|---|---|
| სხვა ქალაქი | another city |
| სხვა ქალაქში | in another city |
| სხვა ფერი | another color |
| სხვა არაფერი | nothing else |
Georgian uses the same word for other, another and else, so you do not need to choose between them.
სხვა can stand alone too. სხვა მინდა means I want another one. Add the plural -ებ- for the others: სხვები სად არიან? (Where are the others?)
In a shop, a useful question is სხვა ფერი გაქვთ? (Do you have another color?)
