ქართულად
In a Language
Add -ად to a language name to say in that language.
How It Works
| Language | In that language |
|---|---|
| ქართული (Georgian) | ქართულად |
| ინგლისური (English) | ინგლისურად |
| გერმანული (German) | გერმანულად |
| ფრანგული (French) | ფრანგულად |
Compare the two forms:
- ქართულს ვსწავლობ (I'm learning Georgian): the language is what you learn, in the dative.
- ქართულად ვლაპარაკობ (I speak Georgian): you speak in Georgian, with -ად.
A handy question when you need a word: ეს ქართულად რა არის? (What is this in Georgian?)
This -ად is the adverbial case, which also makes words like კარგად (well).
The same form works with other verbs: ქართულად წერს (writes in Georgian), ინგლისურად კითხულობს (reads in English).
