Hour plus बजे gives the time: सात बजे means at seven o'clock.

How It Works

बजे means at o'clock. It does not change, and it follows the number.

Six is छव in Bhojpuri, as in छव बजे. Half past one and half past two have their own words, डेढ़ and अढ़ाई, so you say डेढ़ बजे and अढ़ाई बजे.

To ask when something happens, use कब: गाड़ी कब आवेला? An answer that gives a clock time uses बजे.

For times of day, you can also use साँझ के (in the evening) and सबेरे (in the morning). These words have no बजे.

गाड़ी दस बजे आवेला।
