कइसे / कइसन
How and What Kind
कइसे asks how something is done, and कइसन asks what something is like.
How It Works
Both words translate how but they ask different things.
| Word | Asks about | Example |
|---|---|---|
| कइसे | the way an action is done | तू स्टेशन कइसे जालऽ? |
| कइसन | what something is like | खाना कइसन बा? |
The greeting uses कइसन: रउआ कइसन बानी? (How are you?) and तू कइसन बाड़ू? (said to a woman).
कइसन sits before a noun too: ऊ कइसन आदमी ह? (What kind of man is he?)
If you want the amount, use केतना (how much), not कइसन.
