हम करीले

I Do: -ीले

Level 1Sounds Like hama karīlē

With हम and रउआ, the habitual ends in -ीले, or -इले after a vowel.

How It Works

हम and the respectful रउआ share one habit form.

StemFormMeaning
करकरीलेI do
पढ़पढ़ीलेI read
देखदेखीलेI see
जाजाइलेI go
खाखाइलेI eat

With हमनी, add जा: हमनी रोज पढ़ीले जा.

You may also hear करेनी, especially around Chhapra, and करीला in Banaras. They mean the same. In lessons we write -ीले.

Everyday speech often uses -त बानी for a habit, too: हम रोज सबेरे टहलत बानी.
