How It Works

کر کے can connect an action built with کرنا to a following verb. In صفائی کر کے, for example, the cleaning is presented before the next action.

The linked action can also describe a method rather than a separate earlier event. Compare taking a break before continuing with completing a task by making an effort.

کر کے does not change for gender or number. The main verb carries those distinctions and the tense. In these basic examples, the same person performs both actions; use full clauses when different actors would otherwise be unclear.

    Maryam cleaned up and then opened the windows.

    کر کے links an action with کرنا to the next event.

  2. میں کوشش کر کے یہ سوال حل کروں گا۔

    I will solve this question by making an effort.

    The first action describes a method rather than a finished earlier stage.

  3. ہم تھوڑا آرام کر کے دوبارہ کام شروع کریں گے۔

    We will rest a little and then start work again.

    The main verb supplies the future time.

  4. انہوں نے بات واضح کر کے گفتگو ختم کر دی۔

    They clarified the point and ended the conversation.

    کر کے links an adjective-plus-کرنا action to a later event.
