Read the possessor phrase before کے پاس and let the following noun show what is present.

How It Works

میرے پاس ایک چابی ہے means I have a key. The key is what exists in my possession.

دکان کے پاس درخت ہے means there is a tree near the shop. The place phrase names a nearby point.

For several items, میرے پاس دو چابیاں ہیں uses plural ہیں with the items possessed.

Use context to distinguish physical nearness from possession; the same phrase can support both.

میرے پاس ایک چابی ہے۔
I have a key.

There is a tree near the shop.
کے پاس marks a nearby place.
