How It Works

1. Read The Whole Expression
In พูดภาษาอังกฤษได้งู ๆ ปลา ๆ, งู ๆ ปลา ๆ describes only limited knowledge or ability. Its literal snake-snake-fish-fish components do not predict that meaning by themselves. In ไปเที่ยวกับเพื่อน ๆ ฝูง ๆ, the doubled expression refers to friends; the sentence does not state that every friend or an entire gang is present.

2. Read The Complete Description
มีแต่เด็ก ๆ เล็ก ๆ ทั้งนั้นเลย describes only little children among the people under discussion. It does not itself add a location such as all over the place. เขาก็ดูดี ๆ ชั่ว ๆ นะ presents a mixed good-and-bad impression in this context; it does not establish a lasting fact about a person’s character or a universal softening rule.

3. Compare The Written Shape
