ki
Relative Clauses with Ki
Ki links a relative clause to a noun and does not change its form.
How It Works
Ki links a relative clause to a noun and does not change its form. If the relative has an object or prepositional role, an appropriate pronoun can express that role within the clause.
In knjiga, ki jo berem, ki introduces the relative clause while jo supplies the direct-object role. In prijatelj, ki mu pomagam, mu is dative because pomagati requires it. The pronoun is part of the construction, not a duplicate to delete as in English.
