me, te, ga, jo

Short Object Pronouns

Level 3

Accusative clitics stand for a known direct object: me, te, ga and jo are common singular forms.

How It Works

Accusative clitics stand for a known direct object: me, te, ga and jo are common singular forms. They are unstressed; after a preposition or under contrast use an appropriate full form.

Ga can refer to a masculine or neuter singular object; jo refers to a feminine singular object. They depend on a recoverable reference, so name the object first when it would otherwise be unclear. An emphasized contrast uses full forms such as njega rather than stressing ga.

    Ana knows me.

  2. Vidim ga.
