lor, lors
Their
Lor means their before a singular noun, and lors means their before a plural noun.
How It Works
Occitan has two forms of their. The number of the noun decides the form, and the gender does not matter.
| Noun | Form | Example |
|---|---|---|
| singular, masculine | lor | lor ostal (their house) |
| singular, feminine | lor | lor maire (their mother) |
| plural | lors | lors amics (their friends) |
Do not confuse the possessive with the pronoun. Lor before a noun means their. Lor before a verb means to them, and that use comes later.
In some places people use son and sa for their as well, but this course uses lor and lors.
