How It Works

The verbs comprene (to understand) and aprene (to learn) follow the same pattern: compreni, comprenes, compren and apreni, aprenes, apren.
The third person singular is pren, with no ending. The infinitive prene ends in -e, but the first person ends in -i. The stress moves to the ending in prenèm and prenètz.
