m'agrada
Liking Things
With agradar, the thing you like is the subject.
How It Works
Occitan says that something pleases someone. The liked thing is the subject, and the pronoun shows who likes it.
| Pronoun | Singular thing | Plural things |
|---|---|---|
| me (I) | M'agrada lo cafè. | M'agradan los libres. |
| te (you) | T'agrada Tolosa? | T'agradan los libres? |
| li (he, she) | Li agrada Tolosa. | Li agradan los libres. |
The pronoun comes before the verb, and me and te drop their vowel before agrada. The verb has only two forms here, agrada for one thing and agradan for several. Do not write Agradi lo cafè: the person is not the subject. For the verb with the person as the subject, see aimar.

Level 1 - Elision and Contractions
