cossí
How
Cossí asks how.
How It Works
Cossí asks about a manner or a state. It comes first, and the verb keeps its usual form.
| Question | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Cossí vas? | How are you? (to a friend) |
| Cossí anatz? | How are you? (polite) |
| Cossí va lo trabalh? | How is the work going? |
| Cossí se ditz aquò en occitan? | How do you say that in Occitan? |
The greeting uses anar: vas for a friend and anatz for a polite or plural you. For "How do you say...?" use se ditz.
Write the accent: cossí. To ask why, use perqué.
