Primièr becomes primièra in the feminine.

How It Works

MasculineFeminine
singularprimièrprimièra
pluralprimièrsprimièras

Common adjectives in -ièr: primièr (first), darrièr (last), entièr (whole), estrangièr (foreign) and vertadièr (true).

Primièr and darrièr go before the noun: lo primièr jorn, lo darrièr ser. Entièr goes after it: lo libre entièr.

Estrangièr and vertadièr go after the noun: una lenga estrangièra, una istòria vertadièra.

Primièr and darrièr also work as nouns: la primièra (the first one), lo darrièr (the last one).

Darrièr is also the preposition behind: darrièr la pòrta. In that use it does not change.
