-ए पनि means the result stays the same even if something happens.

How It Works

पनि after a condition turns it into even if. The main clause is true in both cases: पानी परे पनि म जान्छु (I will go, rain or not).

Compare the plain if: पानी परे भने म जाँदिनँ (if it rains, I do not go). Swap भने for पनि, and the result no longer depends on the rain.

The negative prefix न- joins the verb: तिमी नआए पनि म जान्छु (even if you do not come, I will go).

Write पनि as a separate word. Level 4 adds भए पनि as its own connector and -दा पनि.

पानी परे पनि म जान्छु।
Even if it rains, I will go.
परे पनि means rain will not stop me.
तिमी नआए पनि म जान्छु।
Even if you do not come, I will go.
