बिहान / दिउँसो / बेलुका / राति
Parts of the Day
Parts of the day work like English at morning or at night, with no extra word.
How It Works
Four words cover the day.
| Word | Meaning |
|---|---|
| बिहान | morning, in the morning |
| दिउँसो | daytime, in the daytime |
| बेलुका | evening, in the evening |
| राति | at night |
The same word means the part of the day and the time in it. बिहान is both morning and in the morning, so no postposition is needed: म बिहान चिया पिउँछु.
राति already carries the meaning at night. The plain word for night is रात, which is used for the noun itself.
Time words usually come near the start of the sentence, after the person: ऊ बेलुका घर आउँछ.
These words work with the simple present for what you do every day, and they also work for what you will do soon.
