व is short, and it replaces आणि in notices and news.
How It Works
व joins two items. पुणे व मुंबई येथे उद्या पाऊस पडेल. (It will rain in Pune and Mumbai tomorrow.) For three or more, use commas and put व before the last one: पुणे, मुंबई व नाशिक.

व is written as a separate word, with a space on each side. विद्यार्थी व पालक यांनी उपस्थित राहावे. (Students and parents should be present.)
तसेच often opens a sentence, with a comma after it, and it adds one more fact to what came before. आज बस सेवा बंद आहे. तसेच, लोकल गाड्या उशिराने धावत आहेत. (The bus service is closed today. Also, local trains are running late.)
It can join two clauses inside one sentence too: महापालिकेने रस्त्यांची दुरुस्ती केली; तसेच नवीन दिवे बसवले.
Do not use व in a chat with a friend. There, आणि is the word: चहा आणि पोहे.

Common Mistakes
Using the Hindi word और.
पुणे और मुंबई येथे उद्या पाऊस पडेल.पुणे व मुंबई येथे उद्या पाऊस पडेल.और is Hindi. Marathi says व or आणि.
Joining व to the word before it.
पुणेव मुंबई येथे उद्या पाऊस पडेल.पुणे व मुंबई येथे उद्या पाऊस पडेल.व is a separate word.
