सेहो

Also and Too

Level 1Sounds Like sēhō

सेहो comes after the word it adds to and means also or too.

How It Works

सेहो means also or too. It comes after the word it adds.

MaithiliMeaning
हम सेहो मैथिली बजैत छी।I speak Maithili too.
हम चाह सेहो पिबैत छी।I drink tea too.

In the first sentence, सेहो adds me to the people who speak Maithili. In the second, it adds tea to what I drink. Where you put the word changes what is added.

For "me too", speakers often use हमहूँ instead. Both are correct, and writing often says अहाँ सेहो where speech says अहूँ.

सेहो can also add a second part to a pair, as in एतबे नहि ... सेहो (not only ... but also).

Do not use the Hindi भी.
