एतबे नहि ... सेहो
Not Only ... but Also
एतबे नहि ... सेहो adds a further point to a first one.
How It Works
एतबे नहि means "not only that". It tells the listener that there is more, and the second point is bigger. The word सेहो ("also") comes after the thing that is added.
| Step | Example |
|---|---|
| First fact | ओ गबैत छथि |
| Not only that | एतबे नहि |
| Second fact +
Use commas around एतबे नहि to give it a pause. The second point should be stronger than the first. If it is not, use आ ("and") instead. In writing, the pair केवल ... नहि, अपितु ... is preferred, but in speech एतबे नहि is the usual choice.
