Level 1Sounds Like katēka

How It Works

कतेक covers both how much and how many.

MaithiliMeaning
एकर दाम कतेक अछि?How much does this cost?
घर मे कतेक लोक अछि?How many people are in the house?
स्टेशन कतेक दूर अछि?How far is the station?

Put कतेक before the noun it asks about: कतेक पानि (how much water), कतेक लोक (how many people). Before an adjective such as दूर (far), it means how.

To answer, use a number and -टा: चारिटा लोक (four people). The number entry covers -टा.
