без оглед на
Regardless of
Без оглед на = regardless of: Без оглед на времето, ќе одиме. (Regardless of the weather, we will go.)
How It Works
With a noun. Без оглед на времето, ќе одиме. (Regardless of the weather, we will go.) Секој може да се запише, без оглед на возраста. (Anyone can sign up, regardless of age.) A pronoun takes its long form: без оглед на нив.
With a clause. На cannot stand directly before a verb, so add тоа and a linking word:
- без оглед на тоа дали врне (regardless of whether it rains)
- без оглед на тоа што зборуваат другите (regardless of what others say)
- без оглед на тоа колку чини (regardless of how much it costs)
Careful with што. Без оглед на тоа што can also mean "even though": Без оглед на тоа што беше уморна, продолжи да работи. (Even though she was tired, she kept working.) The context shows which meaning is meant. For "even though", see also и покрај and иако.
Do not mix it up with со оглед на. Без оглед на means "without taking into account", while со оглед на means "taking into account": Со оглед на времето, ќе останеме дома. (Considering the weather, we will stay home.) See со оглед на тоа што.

Common Mistakes
Putting a verb right after на.
Ќе дојдам без оглед на врне.Ќе дојдам без оглед на тоа дали врне.На needs a noun or тоа after it. Add тоа дали before a yes-or-no clause.
Using со оглед на for "regardless of".
Со оглед на времето, ќе одиме на излет. (meaning: Regardless of the weather, we will go on a trip.)Без оглед на времето, ќе одиме на излет.Со оглед на means "considering", so the first sentence makes the weather the reason for the trip. Без оглед на says the weather does not matter.
