Action Noun With panag-
Naming an Activity with Panag-
Agtaray predicates running; panagtaray names running.
How It Works
With suitable bases, panag- forms activity nouns: surat → panagsurat names writing, and taray → panagtaray names running. Write these words together. A noun marker introduces the larger phrase, and a possessor can identify the participant: ti panagsuratmo means your writing or your manner of writing.
Compare Agtarayka, which predicates an action of you, with Napardas ti panagtaraymo, which describes your running. The participant appears as a subject pronoun in the first frame and a possessor in the second. A manner question can retain an additional complement after the activity noun. Time expressions locate the activity; bare panag- does not independently establish past or future time. Other verbal families have other nominal formations, so this pattern should not be extended mechanically to every verb.
