na: That
verb + na + clause.
How It Works
This na joins a clause to a verb of thinking or saying.
| Say | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Amaara m na ọ dị mma. | I know that it is good. |
| Echere m na ọ ga-abịa. | I think that he or she will come. |
| Ọ sịrị na ọ ga-abịa. | He or she said that he or she will come. |
It is usually written whole, with no apostrophe, because it is not the place word. The clause after it keeps its own subject and verb.
