na: And
Noun + na + noun: and.
How It Works
Na means “and” between nouns.
| Example | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ada na Obi | Ada and Obi |
| mmiri na nri | water and food |
| nne m na nna m | my mother and my father |
It is spelled the same as na “in, at” before a consonant and na “that”. Before a vowel the place word becomes n', but na “and” stays whole. The context tells you which one. To join two actions, use wee “and then”, taught later.
