How It Works

چقدر asks about an amount or a degree, and the answer is an amount or a word like کمی (a little).

Compare چند برادر (how many brothers, because you can count them) and چقدر پول (how much money, because money is an amount).

Answer with a measure or a word: دو ساعت (two hours), کمی (a little), خیلی (a lot). The words کمی and خیلی have their own entries.
