tanmateix / no obstant això
Formal Contrast Connectors
Tanmateix and no obstant això introduce a contrast that holds despite the preceding information.
How It Works
Tanmateix and no obstant això introduce something that remains true despite the preceding information. Per tant and en conseqüència introduce a conclusion or result. Choose the relation before selecting a connector; they are not interchangeable decorations.
Tanmateix and no obstant això can introduce the fact that holds despite a previous obstacle. Their formal tone should not obscure the actual concession: the cost is high, yet the measure remains necessary. No obstant això contains an explicit això pointing back to the preceding information. Place the connector where its scope is clear, and do not use it for a conclusion that follows straightforwardly from the evidence; that relation calls for per tant or another consequential connector.
