ပါရစေ is also how you offer help or introduce yourself: ကျွန်မကိုယ်ကျွန်မ မိတ်ဆက်ပေးပါရစေ။ (Let me introduce myself.)

How It Works

ပါရစေ means "please let me". It sounds polite and a little formal, so it suits shops, offices, meetings and older people.

ပါရစေ is about your own action. To ask someone else to do something, use ပါ or ပေးပါ: ကူညီပေးပါ (Please help me).

Do not mix it up with ပါစေ, which has no ရ and wishes someone well: ကျန်းမာပါစေ (Stay healthy).

ပါရစေ often comes with ကျွန်တော် or ကျွန်မ, so the speaker's gender shows: a man says ကျွန်တော် မေးပါရစေ and a woman says ကျွန်မ မေးပါရစေ.

It is common in speeches and at the end of a meeting: ကျေးဇူးတင်စကား ပြောပါရစေ (Let me say a few words of thanks).

A woman speaks; ပါရစေ asks to be allowed to explain.

Let me pay today.
A man offers to pay the bill.
