pisaću
The future can be written in one word or in two, and both are understood.
How It Works
In the joined spelling, the helper is attached to the infinitive stem: pisa-ću, radi-ćemo.
| Split (this course) | Joined |
|---|---|
| pisat ću | pisaću |
| čitat ćeš | čitaćeš |
| radit ćemo | radićemo |
| pitat će | pitaće |
Both forms mean the same. Croatian and Bosnian usually write the split form, and Serbian and Montenegrin the joined one. Writers differ, so you may meet the joined spelling in Bosnian text too.
Neither is a mistake. If you write, pick one and keep to it in the same text. The sound is nearly the same in speech, so the difference is mostly in how it looks on the page.
