সকলো / আটাই
All and Everyone
সকলো and আটাই mean “all”: আটাইকেইটা আপেল ৰঙা “all the apples are red”.
How It Works
Two words cover “all”.
| Word | Use | Example |
|---|---|---|
| সকলো | everything, everyone, all | মই সকলো জানো “I know everything” |
| সকলোৱে | everyone as the doer | সকলোৱে চাহ খায় “everyone drinks tea” |
| আটাইকেইটা | all of a group of things | আটাইকেইটা আপেল ৰঙা “all the apples are red” |
| আটাইৰে বাবে | for everyone | আটাইৰে বাবে চাহ “tea for everyone” |
Before বাবে, আটাই takes -ৰে: আটাইৰে বাবে. সকলো usually does too: সকলোৰে বাবে.
সকলো can also stand before a noun: সকলো মানুহ “all the people”. আটাই is rare on its own. It most often joins কেই- and a counting word, or -বোৰ, as in আটাইবোৰ “all of them”.
