-(i)b yubormoq
Bursting Out: -(i)b Yubormoq
Verb in -(i)b + yubormoq = suddenly, before you could stop it: kulib yubordi (burst out laughing), toʻkib yubordim (I spilled it).
How It Works
This is one of the helper verbs that follow a verb in -(i)b.
1. Building the form
Take the verb stem (the dictionary form without -moq) and add -ib after a consonant or -b after a vowel. Then add the helper verb, which carries the tense and the person:
- kul- → kulib yubordi (burst out laughing)
- yigʻla- → yigʻlab yubordi (burst into tears)
- toʻk- → toʻkib yubordim (I spilled it)
2. Bursting out
kulib yubormoq (to burst out laughing), yigʻlab yubormoq (to burst into tears), baqirib yubormoq (to cry out).
3. Slipping out, by accident
aytib yubormoq (to blurt out), toʻkib yubormoq (to spill), oʻtkazib yubormoq (to miss a bus or a chance, to let it go by).
4. Letting go, sending off
qoʻyib yubormoq (to let go, to release): Bola qushchani qoʻyib yubordi (The child let the little bird go). Sometimes the literal send still shows: Xatni yozib yubordim (I wrote the letter and sent it off).
5. yubormoq or ketmoq?
yubormoq is for things you do; -(i)b ketmoq is for changes that come over you. So kulib yubordim (I burst out laughing), but charchab ketdim (I got really tired).
6. yubormoq or qoʻymoq?
Both can describe a slip. aytib qoʻydim means I let it slip; aytib yubordim sounds more sudden, I blurted it out. See -(i)b qoʻymoq.

Common Mistakes
Using yubormoq for a feeling or state that comes over you.
Bugun juda charchab yubordim.Bugun juda charchab ketdim.Tiredness is not something you do, it comes over you. Use ketmoq for that: charchab ketdim.
Adding -b instead of -ib after a consonant.
Hamma kulb yubordi.Hamma kulib yubordi.kul- ends in a consonant, so it takes -ib: kulib.
