The examples ask about liking Thai food, state liking a person or disliking spicy food, and describe sleeping late or lying. The last two receive tendency readings in their selected contexts; they do not establish that every ชอบ followed by an action means usually.

The original descriptions ผมชอบกาแฟ and เขาชอบว่ายน้ำ can be read as liking coffee and liking swimming. These displayed constructions do not establish a universal rule about all English gerunds, infinitives or Thai complements. The source’s falling-tone label for ชอบ concerns the written form; no recording is evaluated here.

น้องชายชอบนอนดึก receives a tendency-to-sleep-late reading, with [my] supplied by the selected context. เขาชอบโกหก receives a tendency-to-lie reading. These are the example speaker’s descriptions; they do not prove an actual person’s behavior or imply that a liking interpretation is impossible in every other context.     ผมอยากไปทะเลพรุ่งนี้

    The task asks for ผมอยากไปทะเลพรุ่งนี้, expressing the stated wish to go to the sea tomorrow. ผมชอบไปทะเลพรุ่งนี้ does not supply that requested อยาก construction. The exercise does not establish a universal ban on liking an activity planned for a future occasion.
