Future Passive: amabor, ducar
-bor for the first two conjugations and -ar for the rest.
How It Works
| Conjugation | I | you (one) | he, she, it | they |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| first | amabor | amaberis | amabitur | amabuntur |
| second | habebor | habeberis | habebitur | habebuntur |
| third | ducar | duceris | ducetur | ducentur |
| third -io | capiar | capieris | capietur | capientur |
| fourth | audiar | audieris | audietur | audientur |
Compare the active future, amabo and ducam. The passive adds the passive endings to the same pattern.
To check a form, find the active future and add the passive ending: habebo gives habebor, ducam gives ducar and audiam gives audiar.
The second person duceris is spelled like the present passive duceris. The sentence and its time words show which tense it is.
