The he-or-she form has no ending: میرفت.
How It Works
| Person | Dari | Meaning |

| تو | میرفتی | you used to go |
| او | میرفت | he or she used to go |

The simple past, رفتم, names one finished event: دیروز به بازار رفتم (I went to the market yesterday). The form with می names something that happened again and again, or something that was true for a while: هر روز به مکتب میرفتم (I went to school every day).
Time phrases such as در کودکی (in childhood), آن وقتها (in those days) and هر روز (every day) go with it.
The negative is نمیرفتم. The same form also describes an action in progress in the past, which you meet at Level 4.
