o + Locative
About
About a topic: o + locative.
How It Works
The word o means about when you talk, write or think about a topic. The noun is in the locative.
| Noun | after o |
|---|---|
| porodica | o porodici |
| posao | o poslu |
| Mostar | o Mostaru |
| Emina | o Emini |
Masculine and neuter nouns take -u. Feminine nouns in -a take -i, and the last consonant may change before it, as in ruka, o ruci.
Typical verbs: govoriti o (talk about), pisati o (write about), misliti o (think about), čitati o (read about).
Note: o followed by the accusative also exists, with a different meaning (for example, leaning on something, o zid). When you mean about, use the locative.
