नू
Checking Agreement with नू
नू at the end of a sentence asks for agreement, like right? or you know.
How It Works
The speaker thinks the answer is yes and wants a nod.
| Sentence | Feel |
|---|---|
| तू अइबऽ नू? | You'll come, right? |
| ई तोहार बैग ह नू? | This is your bag, isn't it? |
| हम कहनी नू! | I told you! |
With a question tone, it asks. With a flat tone, it reminds, and can sound a little impatient.
It is different from का at the end, which asks a plain yes-or-no question without a guess. नू says I expect yes.
