बाकिर
Saying but
बाकिर joins two contrasting statements.
How It Works
बाकिर means but.
| First idea | Contrast |
|---|---|
| साड़ी नीक बा, | बाकिर महँग बा। |
| हम जाइब, | बाकिर देर होई। |
Put it between two ideas, with a pause. It starts the second clause.
It is the ordinary word in speech and writing. In writing you may also see बाकि. Both mean the same.
For even so, use तबो. For otherwise, use ना त. Those words have their own meanings and are not the same as बाकिर.
