Comparing Two Things: -

Level 3Sounds Like takai

মোৰ পুত মোতকৈ ওখ “my son is taller than me”.

How It Works

The compared item carries the ending, not the describing word.

Compared withWith -তকৈExample

The word মই changes to মো- before -তকৈ. To say “more” add বেছি, as in তেওঁ মোতকৈ বেছি জনপ্ৰিয় “he is more popular than me”. To say how much taller, put the amount before the describing word: মোতকৈ দুবছৰ ডাঙৰ “two years older than me”. For “the most”, see the next row on সকলোতকৈ. The describing word itself stays the same and takes no ending.
