ular
They
Ular means they: Ular maktabda (They are at school), Ular ertaga keladi (They will come tomorrow).
How It Works
Built from u
u + -lar → ular. It is the plural of u, so it can mean they for people or for things: Kitoblar qayerda? Ular sumkada. (Where are the books? They are in the bag.)
What comes after ular
- Noun or place sentence: no ending is needed, as in Ular uyda (They are at home). You may also hear -lar on the describing word, as in Ular talabalar (They are students). See Third Person Takes No Ending.
- Verb: the plain third-person form is correct, as in Ular ichyapti. Adding -lar (ichyaptilar) is also correct and sounds a little more formal. In everyday speech you will also hear ichishyapti, with the ending covered in Plural Verbs With -(i)sh.
Case forms have no extra n
Unlike u → unga, ular takes endings directly: ularga (to them), ularda (at their place, they have), ularni (them), ularning (their).
A plural of respect
Plural endings are also used as a mark of respect for one person. See The Plural of Respect.

Copying the n of unga into ular.
Unlarga telefon qilaman.Ularga telefon qilaman.Only u, bu, shu and oʻsha add this n, and only before endings such as -ga, -da and -dan. Ular takes -ga directly.
