دونوں / تینوں
Both or All of a Number
Identify the complete small set.
How It Works
The set is usually identifiable in the conversation. With ہم, ہم دونوں means the two of us and ہم تینوں means all three of us.
The numeral form does not change for feminine nouns: دونوں کھڑکیاں and تینوں کتابیں. The noun and verb still follow their ordinary agreement.
Before a postposition, the following noun can be oblique: دونوں کمروں میں. Keep the distinction between the number expression and the noun’s case ending.
