Singular Dual and Plural
Slovenian distinguishes one, two and more than two.
How It Works
Slovenian distinguishes one, two and more than two. Number affects noun, adjective and verb agreement. Learn each noun's forms rather than adding a single universal plural ending.
Compare knjiga je, knjigi sta and knjige so. Every part changes together. Some case endings are shared between dual and plural, so a single ending cannot always identify number without its numeral, pronoun or verb.
