moj, moja, moje
Saying My and Your
Possessive adjectives agree with the thing possessed, not the possessor.
How It Works
Possessive adjectives agree with the thing possessed, not the possessor. Moj, moja, moje mean my; tvoj, tvoja, tvoje mean your when addressing one familiar person.
The same speaker says moj brat, moja sestra and moje mesto. Changing the owner's gender does not change moj. When the subject also owns the object of an action, a reflexive possessive such as svojo may be required by the intended meaning.
