nekdo, nekaj, nihče, nič
Indefinite and Negative Pronouns
Nekdo and nekaj introduce an unspecified person or thing.
How It Works
Nekdo and nekaj introduce an unspecified person or thing. Nihče and nič express negative reference and normally accompany verb negation. Their declined forms include nekoga and ničesar.
Nekdo is nominative, but a direct object can be nekoga. Nihče is also a subject form; under negation an object uses nikogar. Learning only the dictionary form prevents correct sentences even when the negative verb is otherwise right.
