These and Those: ndị a, ndị ahụ
These and Those
ndị + noun + a/ahụ. Or ndị a alone.
How It Works
These are the plurals of a and ahụ for people.
| Example | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ndị a bụ ndị enyi m. | These are my friends. |
| Ndị ahụ bụ ndị nkuzi. | Those are teachers. |
| ndị enyi ahụ | those friends |
For things, use a or ahụ after the noun: ihe a, ihe ahụ. For people, ndị shows the group. Put the pointing word after the noun phrase, as in ndị enyi ahụ. The verb does not change for a group.
